80 lbs down, 80 lbs to go

So yet again gentle reader I'm back with exciting news.  Finding content to write about is tough since all of it seems to have been done.  So I guess its back to me.

Over the weekend I hit the 80 lbs mark.  It's hard to believe.  I can feel it though.  I pulled Ella around in the snow after Christmas and didn't have to stop 10 times to catch my breath.  I walk up and down stairs without thinking about whether or not I have to go back up or down for something.

It is an amazing transformation if I do say so myself.

That being said I have had my struggles and still do.  I'm eating sausage (that's for you Johnner).  I shouldn't be.  I'm still struggling with my vitamins.  I usually find though that I forget to eat.  That sounds like no big deal and to a point it is.  But I did that before the surgery and would over eat.  Sometimes I would do it on purpose and other times I would legit forget.

Now it's a legitimate oversight but the gut reaction is to sit down with a lap of food and keep eating.  That's a struggle.  I have to change that mind set.  I struggled a lot with candy over the holidays.  I never ate any but it was driving me nuts having it there.  First world problems...

I've taken about half of my clothes to Goodwill.  The first load weighed nearly 40 lbs.  I have 3 pair of pants and 2 pair of jeans that fit me right now.  My shirts are way too big but at least they don't fall off.  I'm between that fat store (Casual Male) and big box store sizes though.  My waist has dropped from a 60 to 48.  The 48 is still a little tight but it'll last me quite awhile.

Getting rid of my clothes has been refreshing.  When I lost weight before I kept my clothes as a security blanket.  I didn't want to have to go back to the fat store and buy new clothes again so I was subconsciously setting myself up for failure.

Exercise is still something I struggle with.  It's so easy to ignore when you're losing the weight.  I'm more active for sure but I need to kick it into gear.

I hope everyone had as good of a holiday as we did.  Here's to 2013.
